Manufactured locally by LEDstuff, our SlimLite range contains low-profile surface mounted lights that are stylish and unobtrusive in a range of applications. They are ideal for lighting in caravans, motorhomes and under hanging cupboards in kitchens or bathrooms.
The SlimLite 300 Proximity Sensor is very easy to operate. There is a small blue LED on the sensor inside this light, located near the powered end. When power is connected and the main light is off, the blue light will shine, making it easy to locate in the dark. Simply wave a hand over the light within 50mm of the blue light to turn on and off. To dim, hover your hand over the sensor until the desired setting is achieved. Repeating this process reverses the dim function and increases the brightness until full brightness is reached. The blue light turns off when the main light is on, but will flash while the light is being dimmed until the maximum or minimum brightness is reached. The light will remember it's last setting, even after power loss or when paired with a wall switch, and will turn back on at the previous brightness.
Please note that the blue indicator light cannot be disabled and may appear bright in dark areas, which may make it unsuitable for sleeping areas.
It is 300mm long, made from aluminium extrusion and PC diffuser with our dot-free continuous SLCOBNCW strip light mounted inside (not the strip shown), wired to a quality dimmable proximity sensor at one end. Simply wire up to any 12V DC source (such as a 12V Wall Adapter, or 12V battery system) and enjoy glare free lighting.
