This surface mounted reading light has a modern matte black finish and polycarbonate lens, which is stylish and modern in a range of applications. It has a touch button to turn it on/off and dim on a circular mounting base. The head is mounted on a short 100mm goose-neck so that it can be rotated around in any direction.
To operate, the first touch on the base button turns on a small blue night light around the button, to make it easy to locate in the dark. A second touch turns the main light on. Touch and hold the button to dim the light (and the same to reverse the dimming) - the light will remember the dim setting when it is next switched on. The next touch will turn the light completely off, with no blue night-light. Touch again to turn the night-light on.
It has a 60° beam angle, and draws only 1.5W of power, producing 120 lumens of nice bright light which is perfect for reading. The head and base are both made from black anodised machined Aluminium, while the neck is black rubber sleeved steel.

Installation is easy: take the power wires out through a small hole in the wall lining and connect them to the wires of the light, then place the light base over hole and wires, and fix into place using the 30mm matte black screws provided. The hole and wires are covered by the light's base, leaving a clean & tidy finish. Simply wire up to any 12V or 24V DC source (such as a battery system) and enjoy glare free lighting.
