This surface mounted reading light has a modern mirrored chrome finish and polycarbonate lens, which is stylish and modern in a range of applications. It has a touch sensor to turn it on/off, and dim, and a small circular mounting base. The head is mounted on a long 200mm goose-neck so that it can be rotated around in any direction.
To operate, touch the ring of bands circling the rear end of the light head - this is the touch switch & dimmer. The first touch on the ring turns on two blue night light rings either side of the touch ring, to make it easy to locate in the dark. A second touch turns on the main light. Touch and hold the ring to dim the light (and the same to reverse the dimming) - the light will remember the dim setting when it is next switched on. The next touch will turn the light completely off, with no blue night-light. Touch again to turn the night-light on.
It has a 60° beam angle, and draws only 1.5W of power, producing 120 lumens of nice bright light which is perfect for reading. The head and base are both made from chromed machined Aluminium, while the neck is chrome plated steel.

Installation is easy: simply screw the mounting plate into place using the 16mm long screws supplied, then connect the power wires through the centre of the mounting plate, followed by placing the light base over the bracket and fix using the single grub screw at the base of the fitting using the hex key provided. The wires can be taken out through a small hole in the wall lining, and is covered by the light's base, leaving a clean finish. Simply wire up to any 12V or 24V DC source (such as a battery system) and enjoy glare free lighting.
