Use this wire for our low voltage Digital Neon Flex and Digital Strip Light. It has 3 wires - one for positive, one for negative, and one line for data to be used with digital signal input products.
If you require the product wired with a longer lead, then purchase the length of wire required and we will extend it for you.
Wire length should be kept to a minimum, where the maximum length will depend on the total power draw over the wire. As a rule of thumb, there is a voltage drop of approximately 0.008V per meter of wire for every watt of load at 12V DC.
Example: If you ran 2m of LED-SL5050NRGB which draws a total of 30W with a 2m tail, the total voltage drop will be 0.008 x 2 x 30 = 0.48V. The total voltage drop should be kept below 0.8V for RGB.
If you require a long length and are unsure if it will be too long, contact us and our engineer can advise you. We may be able to supply a heavier gauge wire.
