This dimmable touch sensor switch works to activate and dim any 12 or 24V DC LED product. It is designed to be used and installed alongside LED strip light inside an aluminium channel, but could be installed into other enclosures or used 'bare'. It is built into some of our SlimLite range, such as our SlimLite 300mm Touch Switch Light and SlimLite 500mm Touch Switch Light, both of which can be made to custom lengths if required.
The spring compresses to fit a range of depths of channels/enclosures. A blue light glows from the centre of the spring to show where it is located through a diffused surface such as polycarbonate channel cover.
It is ideal for use in motorhomes and caravans. Measuring just 43mm in length, this sensor is very discrete. To operate, quickly press a finger to the touch switch to turn on and off. To dim, hold your finger on the switch. Repeat to reverse the dimming function. Please note the indicator light may not be suitable for sleeping areas, depending on personal preference.
To install into a piece of aluminium channel with diffused cover, solder the input wire to the V+ and V- at the input end of the PCB board, and the LED strip light to the LED+ and LED- at the output end and fix in place on the channel. The diffused cover must be <3mm thick for the sensor to operate.
