This is a constant voltage AC-DC power supply for powering LED lighting such as our MR16 bulbs and strip light. This DC power supply takes 230V mains and outputs a regulated 24V DC up to a maximum load of 250W/10.42A. It is a high quality durable supply designed specifically for use with outdoor lighting, high bays and flood lights.
The power supply itself is waterproof with an IP67 rating. The unit comes with a 3-pin plug injection moulded to the input wire, making installation easy, however you must make sure that it is installed by a qualified electrician if hard-wiring in, so the mains connections are safe.
A supply like this is often required to replace a trasformer if you are substituting 24V halogen bulbs with LED bulbs, as halogens are usually run on AC, but most LEDs require DC.
This power supply is part of the Meanwell LiFud series, which are SELV rated and are recommended for residential or commercial jobs. They are constructed using metal casing, 3-wire input with earth and 2-wire DC output.
