This is a constant voltage AC-DC power supply for powering LED lighting such as our MR16 bulbs and strip light. This DC power supply takes 230V mains and outputs a regulated 12V DC up to a maximum load of 30W (2.5A).
The power supply itself is non-waterproof. The unit has screw terminals at each end and is clearly labelled for wiring.
A replacement supply like this is often required if you are substituting 12V halogen bulbs with LED bulbs, as halogens are usually run on AC, but most LEDs require DC.
Please read installation instructions fully before attempting any work.
This power supply is for indoor use only. However, you can run the 12V side outside: 12V is a safe voltage to run outdoors.
