These lights are great decorations for functions such as weddings, birthdays, New Year and Christmas parties.
This model features hanging sockets that allow the bulb to hang to a level of approx. 20cm below the main cable. One festoon string consists of 20 sockets and comes with a total of 22 glass bulbs (so you have 2 spares). These are 2W E27 LED filament bulbs, which have a nice traditional look. You can purchase additional spare bulbs here.
Each string is a total of 16m in length, including a 2m long power cable. There is 35cm of cable from the connector to the first socket, and 70cm between bulbs. They are made with an injection-moulded 3-pin plug and so run directly from 230V mains power.
Strings can be joined together to make longer lengths - there is a waterproof connection at the start and end of each string, which can be used to join multiple lengths of festoon light strings together. Run up to 25 strings from a single power point!
Each socket has an eye at the top to be used for installation. The festoon light string can be installed either by a) using a screw through the eye directly into timber, or b) using cable ties to attach the socket via the eye to a supporting guide wire. These fittings should not be suspended by the cable.
This product is rated IP65 for outdoor use in protected areas.
