This Kit allows you to suspend any of our models of Batten light from an overhead structure.
It utilizes the mounting brackets supplied with the batten lights, so that the attachment is assured to fit that model of batten light, and are spring-locked for easy adjustment - simply press and hold the small circular insert at the base of the threaded insert to release the wire for adjustment longer or shorter.
It is compatible with both the Non-waterproof and the Waterproof model of Batten Light.
The hanging kit is constructed from 1.2mm thick Braided Steel wire, and molded and machined steel fittings, and allows a drop of up to 2m.
Each kits is supplied with 2x hanging wires with fittings and 2x small metal flathead machine screws, plus mounting hardware of 2x 30mm M4 button phillips screws, and 2x plastic screw anchors.
To install, simply chose and measure your location, then fasten the larger separated fitting (wih the hole in the side) to the overhead structure with the supplied fasteners. Then secure the smaller steel end to the batten light mounting clip with the smaller flathead screws, and clip it onto the batten light, positioning the clip between 2 to 30cm from each end.
Now the light is ready to hang. Press and hold on the wire release and extend the wire out through the screw threaded insert, then feed this wire up through the side hole in the previously installed mounts, followed by screwing the threaded section up into the base until it is tight. Repeat for the second wire fitting, then simply just the length of the wire as above to the desired hanging height.
Note - if relatively short haning is desired, the wire may be trimmed, but the braid may unravel, so it may be necessary to fix the ends it by glueing or clamping them.
