This stair nosing channel can be used indoors with any of our non-waterproof strip light (12mm wide or less) or outdoors with any waterproof strip smaller than 12mm wide, such as our 3528 LED 12V Waterproof strip. All of our strip light can be dimmed if required.
The strip lighting channel is directed downwards, to light up the face of the step and the top of the step below, making sure that steps are seen clearly and safely.
The channel is made from brushed aluminium with a 68mm deep stair tread that has a black rubber grip tread insert, which gives good grip on the stair edge.
The frosted PVC cover clips over the striplight channel, protecting the strip light inside, and giving a nice diffused glow of the light inside. Each length comes with 2x end caps which are attached with the supplied screws, which gives a tidy look to the end if it is not adjoining a wall or pannel.
It must be installed by drilling, countersinking the hole for the screw head, and using countersunk screws. Where possible we recommend this is done underneath the removable rubber tread.
