This plasterboard channel can be used indoors with any of our non-waterproof strip light (12mm wide or less) or outdoors with our 3528 waterproof strip.
It is designed to be installed on top of plasterboard with the back of the channel recessed into the wall, making it appear flush with the wall. This means it is only suitable for new builds or renovations.
Many shallow channels can make the light appear spotty as the strip is so close to the diffuser, meaning you can see the individual LEDs. For applications where you prefer not to see the LEDs and would rather a continual strip of light, this channel is ideal.
The channel is made from brushed aluminium and it has a frosted PVC cover that clips over the channel, protecting the strip light inside. Mount it directly into the plasterboard, secure with screws and plaster over the flange on each side up to the diffuser.
