This is a constant voltage AC-DC power supply for powering LED lighting such as our MR16 bulbs and strip light. This DC power supply takes 230V mains and outputs a regulated 24V DC up to a maximum load of 30W (1.25A).
This is a dimmable supply with Triac Dimming technology on forward-phase (Leading edge). It can be used with our KIWI Electronics mains wall dimmer with no restrictions. It is not compatible with HPM dimmers.
The power supply is not waterproof. The mains input end and 24V DC output end are both are clearly labelled for wiring, however you must make sure that it is installed by a qualified electrician if hard-wiring in, so the mains connections are safe.
A replacement supply like this is often required if you are substituting 24V halogen bulbs with LED bulbs, as halogens are usually run on AC, but most LEDs require DC.
